December is a beautifully festive month, but also marks the end of the year. Most insurance benefits close out the year on the 31st which means you need to take a quick look at a few things to be sure you are getting the most out of your money.:
Do you have an FSA with a balance? Be sure to check the rollover amount to ensure you don’t lose any of your money. FSA funds can be used for qualified over-the-counter expenses too!
Review your health care expenses for the year and what you have accrued so far towards your insurance deductible for 2022. If your plan deductible accrues on a Calendar year, you have until December 31st to squeeze in last-minute medical appointments and still be covered before the new 2023 deductible kicks in.
Individual Open enrollment (on and off-exchange) is in full swing! Be sure to make your elections or changes by December 15th to secure coverage for January 1, 2023!
